True Love

I decided to keep Vic.... hes my baby I can't let him go! Hes just out of injury so I've decided to show jump him in the summer, he knows me inside out and up side down and our bond is so strong that I would be silly not to get used to shows without him! Our flatwork is terrible though so im getting a lesson with a dressage instructor who will hopefully help us! I need a plan of action for his flatwork... I don't know where to start! The problem with Vic is that he is so honest and so genuine that when you can't do something (i.e bring him on a proper outline) you feel like crap because you know hes the safest and most honest horse around.... for example he jumped 1.10m out of walk for me like he has serious talent and I want to show it off but our flatwork needs to be improved before we start. Im thinking that when I have reached the top with him I'll buy another baby and start with him hopefully then my nerves from competitions won't be as high anymore and Ill be able to bring the horse on.... Anyway I'll keep you posted on how the lesson went its in 2 hours so Im slightly nervous but I did warn her that we need serious help!
